But first, an embarrassing story.

When I graduated from college in 2009, I walked headfirst into a recession. I had funded much of my education as a freelance digital marketer and was eager to test out my self-taught skills in the corporate world. So, I accepted an entry-level job as a content writer. My coworkers were fun, kind, and generous with their creative knowledge.

And naturally, me being me, I felt moved to create a stronger sense of community, while also showcasing my full range of skills and experience.

My manager on the other hand was growing increasingly uncomfortable with my show of initiative (and root beer float team building exercises). How did I know? Because she once asked if I was planning to take her job.

At the time, I didn’t understand office politics, how to gain leadership buy-in, or how to strategize my career development.

I share this story because, as DEI professionals or allies, you might face similar challenges. Trust me, four Fortune 500 companies later, I continued to face situations where my good intentions and hard work were met with intense resistance and scrutiny, especially when advocating for equity and inclusion.

So, I created DEI SUCCESS LAB™, to help you tackle these issues head-on and lead with confidence.

The DEI Success Lab™ is a condensed, 4-week (Plus BONUS 5th Week!) course developed by SocialEDG to empower participants with the knowledge and skills they need to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within their organizations.
